Who has two thumbs and as of today finished Deathnote? THIS GUY!
and I have to say..... It was worth every second of it.. I might go through and watch it in the english dub later, but It will probably ruin the characters.
I also just have to say... I think I prefer Light (Raito, Kira). Don't kill me. I just... I don't know. I just didn't feel that terrible when L died, and when Light died, a little bit of me did too :'(
( don't get me wrong I still think he's a mental case and a half but I still loved his complex character )

I totally agree with your assessment of the characters. A part of me died when Light did and I can't stand to read or watch that part. I didn't really feel anything when L died. I rooted for Kira the whole way through, even if I thought his God Complex was detrimental to his entire plan. But, he was a complex and fascinating character, and so, became my favourite along with Near.

The picture is gorgeous and I love the lighting and the colours that stand out. Beautifully done.

Same, when L died I didn't react much but at the end with Light dieing I felt the same as you, it just hits you.
Death Note is a AWESOME story!! and very nice lighting :D

I know! I think it's because you watch Light lose it before his tragic demise, where as L is kind of sudden and there's no real hope for him, he's up against rem, so he's a goner;)

Don't worry. L is my favorite character, but when he died I did not feel terrible, either. When Light died, I cried. I would say that I like Light better than L by 2%

(I read the whole series instead of the anime so Lights death was a bit different)
